History & Background
The Kawal Borneo Community Foundation (KBCF) was founded in 2007 by a group of community development activists, NGO practitioners, and academics, including Mustofa Agung, Tambun Anyang, Abrianto Amin, and Swary Utami Dewi.
We are committed to safeguarding the future of Borneo's landscape and its people. We bridge the gap between community-based initiatives and sustainable policy frameworks, ensuring equitable, data-driven and inclusive management of Natural Resources.

- Strengthening the economy of the merginal community around hutam based on ecological wisdom and social solidarity.
- Facilitate programs and increase the capacity of all stakeholders, both men and women, in efforts to conserve natural resources.
- Mobilize all forms of resources that can strengthen the work of institutions and communities.
